13th Century, Grade 1 Listed, Exterior

Painting and Decorating an Old House

A grade 1 listed building with exposed beams. This 13th century building was one of the first buildings to have glass put in the windows, which still remains. All panels had the loose masonry removed and repaired, the lime and mortar replaced. A thin coat of paint was applied to all repair work followed by 2 neat coats of Dulux Weathershield Masonry Paint.

Grade 2 Listed, Exterior

Painting a Large Country House

A grade 2 listed building. Heavily overgrown Ivy had to be cut down. The Ivy was very embedded and required burning and scraping with copper wire brushes in order to remove it. All masonry work was repaired, all cracks where raked out and repaired with 1 thin coat of paint used to cover repair work followed by 2 neat coats all over.

The window frame paint was burnt off and re-puttied where necessary. The frames then received one wood primer undercoat, one undercoat and a gloss finish.
